Hundreds expected for Noel McManus Easter run this Friday at Lough Rynn

The much-loved Noel McManus Run/Walk and Cycle returns to Lough Rynn Castle this Good Friday, April 3, promising another lively day of fitness, community spirit and scenic surroundings.

Set against the stunning backdrop of one of Leitrim’s most historic castle grounds, the annual event continues to draw participants of all ages and abilities, with distances catering for everyone from seasoned runners to casual walkers and cyclists.

The day kicks off with the cycle at 11.00am, followed by the half marathon at 11.15am. Runners taking on the 10K will set off at 11.30am, while the 5K event begins at 11.45am, ensuring a steady flow of activity throughout the morning.

Known for its welcoming atmosphere and well-organised routes, the Noel McManus event has become a firm fixture in the local calendar, drawing participants from across the region and beyond. Whether chasing a personal best or simply enjoying a Good Friday outing in the fresh air, the event offers something for everyone.

With its blend of scenic routes, community energy and accessible distances, organisers are once again expecting a strong turnout for what has become a highlight of the Easter weekend in Leitrim.
