The re-tender of two proposed social housing units in Kiltyclogher will be uploaded to eTenders this week, a meeting of Manorhamilton Municipal District has heard.

During April’s meeting of the MD, Cllr Pádraig Fallon asked the Council when it is expected that the re-tender for the two social housing units will be issued.

In response, the Council confirmed that the re-tender of the proposed social housing units is expected to be uploaded to eTenders this week.

The reply also explained that the original overall project included social housing developments in Kiltyclogher and Ballinamore; however, this has now been split into two separate projects in the re-tendered process to encourage contractors who may not have been willing to tender for the original project due to the geographical locations of the sites.

Cllr Fallon welcomed the reply. “Individuals were concerned that there was a lack of commitment from the local authority regarding this project but that’s most definitely not the case,” said Cllr Fallon. “It’s good to see they’re going back up for tender,” he added.
