This is the 3rd year that Victoria and her amazing team of dance teachers have taken part in the Dance World Cup. Last year 8 young dancers travelled to Spain to represent Ireland, and in 2024 two dancers competed in Dance World Cup finals in Prague.
So, the next stage of this exciting adventure for our local dancers who will dance for Ireland this year, is the world cup final , which takes place in the Convention Centre in Dublin from July 8th - 18th.
This event is considered to be the Olympics of dance with over 10,000 dancers from 54 countries set to compete over the 11 days. Also, during this time , from July 15th -17th in the Helix in Dublin, the Contemporary Ballet Company will be proud to present "Bolero+", an evening of dance through contemporary ballet.
Victoria Walker Dance School has been running classes locally in Boyle and Carrick on Shannon since 2010, and even though these dedicated young dancers have qualified to Dance World Cup finals, this is not the dance schools only focus, and competition is not what the school is all about.
There is a huge variety of dance classes for children and adults, with the emphasis being on enjoyment, fitness, well being, and having the freedom to express yourself through dance
