Toll prices on most fee charging routes across the country are set to increase by the “maximum level” from January. They are set to be imposed on nine out of the ten routes on the country’s road network.
From the start of 2023, the M50 increases will see the price for tag users going up from €2.10 to €2.30. Drivers registered by camera capture on the motorway will have to pay €2.90, compared €2.70 currently. Unregistered cars will be charged an extra 30 cent, with prices increasing from €3.20 to €3.50.
Meanwhile, tagged coaches will have to pay an additional 20 cent, as well as an extra 40 cent for goods vehicles weighing between 2,000kg and 10,000kg. There will be no increase for the Dublin Port Tunnel.
The increases on the M4 will see the cost for cars and motorcycle going up by 20 cent, to €3.20 and €1.70 respectively, and 40 cent for buses and LGVs, to €4.90. The M3, M! M7, M8 N6 N25 and N18 will all increase by 10 cent.
