The following deaths have occurred in the wider Leitrim area: 

Denis Flanagan - Dromod, Co Leitrim / Dublin -The death has occurred of Denis Flanagan, Dromod, Co Leitrim and formerly of Dingle Road, Cabra and Old Bawn, Tallaght, Dublin on Tuesday, November 29th, peacefully, in the loving care of the staff at North West Hospice, Sligo. Beloved husband of Daiga, dear father of Samantha, Niall and Michelle, step-father to Renars and grandfather of Sophie, Alex, Shane, Ruby, Leila, Mia, Lexie, Jack and Aoife. Sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughters, step-son, grandchildren, daughter-in-law Roisin, sons-in-law Jason and Eamonn, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Clonsilla Road on Monday evening from 6pm to 8pm. Removal to Glasnevin Crematorium on Tuesday afternoon (6th December) arriving for a Celebration of his life at 2pm. Family flowers only, please. Donations if desired to St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown.

Anne Walker (née Dowling, Carrigeen, Kilglass, Roscommon -November 29th, suddenly, in Bourges, France. Funeral Arrangements Later

Margaret (Peggy) Devlin - Burnfoot, Co Donegal / Castlegal, Co Sligo -The peaceful death has occurred at her residence of Margaret (Peggy) Devlin (née Gallagher), Magherabeg, Burnfoot, Co Donegal and formerly Castlegal, Co Sligo on Thursday, December 1. Predeceased by her husband Peter and daughter-in-law Pauline. Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by her loving sons and daughters Martin, Patrick, Elizabeth, Mary, Helen, Paul and Valerie, sons-in-law Patrick, Hugh, Anthony and Patrick, daughter-in-law Geraldine, grandchildren Oisín, Emer and her husband Jack, Kevin, Karen, Oran, Tiarnan, Colleen, Ultán, Cillian, Conal and great grandchild Molly Ellen, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Reposing at her home on Friday, 2nd December from 1.00pm. Removal Saturday evening at 6.45pm to St Mura's Church, Fahan to repose overnight at the request of the deceased. Requiem Mass at 11.30am on Sunday morning followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Family time from 11.00pm to 11.00am. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Buncrana Community Hospital Patients Comfort Fund c/o any family member.

Michael Ward, Cashelard, Ballyshannon, Co Donegal - The death has occurred of Michael Ward, Cashelard, Ballyshannon, Co Donegal, suddenly, on Thursday, December 1. Predeceased by his parents Jim and Maggie Ann. Sadly missed by his brother PJ, nephews Tony (Rachael) and Gary (Claire) and all his extended family and friends. Reposing at John McGee & Sons Funeral Home, Belleek Rd, Ballyshannon F94 ED21, Friday, from 7pm to 9pm and on Saturday, from 6pm to 9pm. Removal from John McGee & Sons Funeral Home on Sunday morning to St. Mary Church, Cashelard, for 10am funeral Mass, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private please.

John Forde, Drumlish, Co Longford - John Forde, Kilmahon, Drumlish, Co Longford, peacefully in Mullingar Regional Hospital on Thursday, December 1. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Ellen, sisters Ellen Boyle, Lilly and brothers Michael and Brendan. Deeply regretted by his sister Rosie, brother Willie, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.  John will repose in Our Lady's Manor, Edgeworthstown on Friday evening from 5 o'clock, concluding with prayers at 6 o'clock. Remains arriving to St. Mary's Church, Drumlish on Saturday for 11 o'clock funeral mass followed by burial in Kilmahon Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers to Cancer Care Longford.

Helen O'Keeffe, Dublin / Moyne, Co Longford - The death has occurred of Helen O'Keeffe (née Reilly), Rathfarnham, Dublin, ate of Drumhaldry, Moyne, Co Longford, on Thursday, December 1, surrounded by her loving family. Devoted mother to Ann, Claire, Sinead. Reunited with her darling son Brendan who died earlier this year. Sadly, missed by her sons-in-law Paul, Denis, Laurence. Her twelve cherished grandchildren Fionn, Teresa, Aoife, Liam, Norah, Sean, Lorcan, Conor, Thomas, Eoghan, Ruairi, Meadhbh. She will be sadly missed by her sisters-in-law, her fabulous nieces and nephews, her many friends, her great neighbours from Ballyroan and Springvale, her excellent carers from Homeinstead, all other carers and the excellent staff in Our Lady’s Hospice Harold’s Cross. Reposing at home Friday, 2nd December, 4pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass Saturday, 3rd December, in the Church of the Holy Spirit, Ballyroan at 10am followed by burial in Bohernabreena Cemetery.
