Carrigallen author releases new crime novel

Leitrim author, Kevin McManus has just published his seventh novel entitled ‘Storm Force.’ This is his first crime fiction book in three years and is the fourth novel in the Detective Ray Logue series, which is set in Western Ireland.

In Storm Force, Detective Logue is on the hunt for a vicious killer when a prominent journalist is abducted and murdered.
The trail to discover the identity of the killer leads the detective to an island off the West coast of Ireland where he is drawn into the crossfire between two rival drug barons. As a storm is bearing down upon the island, Logue is forced into an encounter with a ghost from his past and he is tested to his limits in a dramatic conclusion.

Kevin McManus took a hiatus from writing crime novels over the last three years and concentrated instead on writing poetry.
One of Kevin’s poems called ‘Lost Souls’ attracted the attention of a Kerry-based filmmaker called Dennis Earlie, he adapted the poem into a short film which has been selected for screening at a number of national and international film festivals including the O’Beal film festival in Cork and the Blissfest film festival in Chicago.
