Green Christmas market to take place at The organic Centre

Make your Christmas a green one. The Organic Centre in Rossinver is inviting you to make a date with them, from 11am-5pm on Saturday, December 10 for its Green Christmas Market. It promises a warm and festive welcome in the natural surrounds of the North Leitrim venue. There will be a large bustling collection of stalls of local craft, artists and foods.

You can immerse yourself in the industry of old, with demos of Christmas sustainable craft, including Christmas garland weaving from willow, wood turning, traditional children’s games, workshops of sustainable cards and decoration making. There will be special festive guests for the children to enjoy, and music, mulled drinks and Christmas food for all the family. Free to enter and all in the natural winter wonderland that is the Organic Centre. Dervilla Keegan Communications and Policy Officer at the centre says “We are delighted to host this event once again after a break due to Covid. They will be plenty of entertainment as well as a chance to browse the market. There's lots going on in the area, making it a great place for locals shopping for Christmas and for visitors. Christmas is a huge commercial time and we all know that we need to be living more lightly, buying local produce that’s not been shipped in, and looking toward sustainable gifts and reusing. We are thrilled to have a great array of local traders with us as well as our Eco shop open on the day. We can also consider the option of buying experiences, like a gift voucher or course for your loved one.
“At our Green Market event you can make a real day of it and take in the beautiful Fowleys falls walk with the new trail that’s now linked to the centre, then come back and visit our market and grab a bite to eat. ”
