Cllr Sean McDermott has called for traffic calming measures to be put in place in the village of Kiltyclogher.
Making the proposal at the recent Manorhamilton Municipal District meeting, Cllr McDermott said that this was particularly needed in the vicinity of the village's National School and St Patrick's Church.

“Some years ago there were very few children and now there are many more,” he informed the meeting.
The local authority was told that the North Leitrim Area office will work with Active Travel and the Road Design section to develop measures for traffic calming at this location.
