Elizabeth (Lizzie) Hession (née Woods), Mirah, Turloughmore, Galway / Fenagh, Leitrim

Elizabeth (Lizzie) Hession, (née Woods), Mirah, Turloughmore, Co. Galway and formerly of Glostermin, Fenagh, Co. Leitrim. Peacefully on February 8th 2022, Predeceased by her son Willie. Beloved wife of Paddy and loving mother to Peter and Paul. Sadly missed by her family, daughters in law Bridie, Monica and Jacqui, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at Our Lady’s Chapel, Lackagh on Friday evening from 5pm. with removal to Church of Our Lady of Knock, Lackagh (H65 N129) at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 12.30 p.m. with Burial in Lackagh New Cemetery. The wearing of face masks is essential inside the church and strongly encouraged outside the Church. Mass will be live-streamed on www.lackaghchurchliveyoutube and also broadcast on parish radio, 106.9 FM. Family Flowers only. House Private Please.

Liam Guckian, Mohill, Leitrim

The death has occurred of Liam Guckian, Benbulben House, Sligo and formerly of Bridge Street, Mohill, Co. Leitrim, Tuesday 8th February 2022 peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of Benbulben House, Sligo. Predeceased by his father; James, mother; Ann, brother; Padraig and his sister; Maura Conaty. Deeply regretted by his sister; Aine, brother-in-law; Tom Conaty, niece; Aisling nephews; Paul, David and Stephen, grandniece, grandnephew, cousins, relatives and friends. Remains to arrive at St. Patrick’s Chruch, Mohill on Saturday 12th February 2022 for funeral mass at 12 noon followed by burial to the adjoining cemetery. Michelle Corcoran (née Mulligan), Cortober heights, Carrick-on-Shannon, Roscommon / Carrick-on-Shannon, Leitrim

Corcoran (nee Mulligan), Cortober heights, Carrick on Shannon, Co. Roscommon, 6th February 2022. Michelle, predeceased by her father Andy, deeply regretted by her heartbroken husband Paul and her sons Evan, Jamie and Calum, adored daughter of Ann, her sister Andrea, her brother Micheal, aunts, uncles, brothers-in-law Ciaran and Pat, sisters-in-law Rynagh, Catherine and Mary, nephews Ryan, Senan and Theo, niece Carrie, her best friend Yvonne, relatives and a large circle of friends. Removal on Thursday morning to St. Michael's church, Drumlion for her funeral mass at 12 noon, followed by burial in Drumlion cemetery. In compliance with the current Government Guidelines, we ask that all who will be attending Michelle's funeral adhere to social distancing guidelines, wear face coverings and refrain from shaking hands at all times. Mary Flynn (nee Farrelly), College View, Drumkeerin, Co.Leitrim

The death has occurred of Mary Flynn (nee Farrelly), College View, Drumkeerin, Co.Leitrim and formerly of Castledermot, Co. Kildare. Predeceased by her husband Peter and son in law John P., brother Billy and sisters Rose, Maggie and Betty, brothers in law Liam McNamee and Peter Howard. Sadly missed by her sons Pat, Peader, Francis, Allen, Martin and Declan; daughters Ann-Marie, Darina, Orla and Ethel; brother John (Castledermot); sisters Dympna (Navan), Patrica (Athy) and Catherine (Nurney); sister in law Ann; brother in law Henry; sons in law, daughters in law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. Reposing in St.Brigid's Church, Drumkeerin on Thursday evening, 10th February, from 6.00pm until 8.00pm. Funeral Mass on Friday, 11th February, at 12 o'clock. Burial afterwards in Curraghs Cemetery, Spencer Harbour. Family flowers only, donations, if desired, to the Leitrim branch of the Irish Kidney Association. PJ McGovern, Lisgrudy, Garadice, Ballinamore, Leitrim

Peacefully at his residence. Predeceased by his wife Celia. He will be sadly missed by his daughters Renea & Emer, sons-in-law Peter & Colm, grandchildren Euan, Conall, Leah & Cara, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family,relatives and friends.  Reposing at his home in Lisgrudy on Thursday afternoon from 4pm until 8pm. House private at all other times please. Removal on Friday morning, 11th February, arriving to St.Patrick’s Church, Aughawillan for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Aughawillan new cemetery. Please continue to be mindful of Covid restrictions by wearing facemasks etc.

John William (Billy) Connell, Lisurlar, Riverstown, Sligo

Peacefully at Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle, Co. Roscommon. Predeceased by his brothers, Tommy, Joe, Gerry, Mattie and sister Teresa. Sadly missed by his wife Christine, daughters Mary (Lyons), Anne (USA), Katie and son John (USA), his 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Remains will be arriving at the Church of The Sacred Heart, Riverstown on Thursday at 7 o'clock. Mass of the Resurrection will take place on Friday at 1pm with burial afterwards in Ballyrush Cemetery. Mass will be live streamed on www.massonline.ie. Please adhere to Government guidelines regarding hand shaking and social distancing, walk through only in church. Face masks must be worn. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to North West Hospice, The Mall, Sligo.

Edward Christopher Stokes, 17 Autumn View, Summer Hill, Carrick-on-Shannon, Leitrim

Peacefully at home after a long illness borne with great courage in the loving care of his family. Edward is predeceased by his father Pat (The man Stokes), mother Kate, sister Kathleen, son baby Martin and grandson baby Anthony. Edward will be forever missed by his heartbroken family, wife Nan, sons Pat, John, Edward, Tony, Brian, Tom, Martin and Simon, daughters Bridget, Kathleen and Mary, brothers John, Brian, Patrick, Martin, Tom, Michael and Willie, sisters Maggie, Annie, May, Winnie, Tina, Tersa and Lena, sons and daughters-in-law, brothers and sisters in law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, uncles Tom and Willie, aunts, nephews, nieces, neighbours and friends. Funeral Mass on Thursday 10th at 12 o'clock, followed with burial in St Mary's Cemetery. Please remember to practice social distancing and wear a face covering. Sarah Moynan (née Pratt), Keelrin, Carrigallen, Leitrim

Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital in her 94th year. Predeceased by her husband Harry. Sadly missed by her loving daughter Karena, sons Robert and Andrew, son-in-law Mike, grandchildren Shannon and Nathan, sister-in-law Kathleen, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends. Removal on Thursday to arrive at St Columba's Parish Church, Corrawallen, for Funeral Service at 2pm with burial afterwards in the adjoining churchyard Family flowers only, donations in lieu of to Corrawallen Parish Church C/o Gorby Funeral Directors, Newtowngore. One way system in operation entrance from Newtowngore village side.

Noel Padian, Slattabeg, Rooskey, Roscommon

Noel Padian, Slattabeg, Rooskey, Co Roscommon, February 6th unexpectedly at his residence. Predeceased by his parents John and Kathleen . Sadly missed by his sister Mary Reynolds (Gortletteragh), brother-in-law Michael, nephews Mel and Conor, niece Michelle, grand nephew Robert, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends. Funeral mass will take place on Thursday February 10th at 12noon in St Anne’s Church, Slatta, followed by burial afterwards in Kilglass cemetery.

Fr Gabriel Maguire C.Ss.R., Gurteen, Swanlinbar, Cavan

Late of Erdington Abbey, Birmingham. Peacefully in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Burmingham. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Mary and his brother Desmond. Sadly missed by his sister Anne Allen (Athlone) brothers Gerard (Dublin) Ben (Dublin) his brother-in-law Nick, his sisters-in-law Mary and Helen, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and the Redemptorist Community. Funeral will take place in Erdington Abbey, Birmingham.

Patrick Bernard 'Berney' Clyne, Páirc Fea & formerly Lahard, Ballinamore, Leitrim

Peacefully, at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin. He will be sadly missed by his wife Ibtisama (Sama), his children Ailis Clyne, Brian Clyne & Karalee Kolpac, his step-children Maya Lindstrom, Sean Bradley & Lisa Lefringhouse and his beloved grandchildren Bridget, Jessica, Patrick, Eric, Annabella, Sophia, Eli, Jillian, Ella, Jason, Eva, Juliette & Quinn, his extended family and friends. Funeral Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Ballinamore, on Thursday at 12 noon followed by burial in Oughteragh Cemetery, Ballinamore. Mary (aka Baba Keenan) McMahon, Bournemouth and formerly of Manorhamilton, Leitrim / Kiltyclogher, Leitrim / Enniskillen, Fermanagh / Dublin

The death has occurred of Mary McMahon (aka Baba Keenan) in her 94th year of Bournemouth and formerly of Enniskillen, Dublin, Manorhamilton and Kiltyclogher. Peacefully at her home in Bournemouth, surrounded by loving family members after a bravely fought illness. Deeply mourned by her children Brendan, Felicity, Gerard, Marie and Geraldine, daughter-in-law Monica MacNamara, son-in-law Robin Day, her grandchildren Jenny, Laura, Ali and Kevin, nieces, nephews and extended families and friends, predeceased by her husband Brendan McMahon, parents Francis and Annie Keenan, her sister Angela Golden and brothers Terence and Hyacinth (F.T. Keenan Auctioneers). Sincere thanks to all who cared for her so kindly. Reposing at Chester Pearce Funeral Home, Westbourne, Bournemouth, UK. Private removal to St Joseph & St Walburga Catholic Church, 2A Archway Road, Parkstone, Poole, at 4pm on 10th February. Requiem Mass at 11.30am on 11th February 2022 and afterwards to Bournemouth North Cemetery.
