Jenna, who hails from Carey's Road in the city, lined up for Ireland's under-19's women's team in a friendly match away to rivals England this Monday.
And she scored a crucial goal for the Girls in Green to help beat the Three Lions by two goals to one in St George's Park, Burton-on-Trent in England's West Midlands.
Following the game, the Galway United midfielder took to Twitter to reveal that she had dedicated her effort to her friend James Flanagan who sadly died last week.
Nicknamed Barnes by friends, his funeral Mass takes place this Tuesday.
Jenna wrote: "2-1 win over England, delighted to score and dedicate my goal to the recent passing of James Flanagan(Barnes)"

Tributes were paid from across the Limerick sporting community after the father-of-one's passing with his club, Fairview Rangers announcing that all training and matches were cancelled over the weekend as a mark of respect.
Formerly of Lynwood Park, James passed away unexpectedly at home last Wednesday.
His funeral will arrive to St. John’s Cathedral on Tuesday, February 21 for requiem Mass at 11am, and he'll be laid to rest afterwards in Mount St Lawrence Extension Cemetery.
May he rest in peace.
