KBC Bank will permanently close its Limerick branch this Friday evening as it exits the Irish market.
The lender confirmed that it will close its local outlet - opened a decade ago in O'Connell Street - along with 10 other hubs around the country.
It comes six months after the firm gave notice it was to wind down its operations in Ireland.
Just one, at Grand Canal in Dublin, will stay open until the end of August to support a small number of customers who may still want to attend a hub in person.
In Limerick, it's anticipated up to 20 people are facing redundancy.
It's not the first bank to quit the main thoroughfare this year.
In January, Ulster Bank confirmed it would close its branches in O'Connell Street - 15 doors away from KBC - and at Crescent Shopping Centre by April 21.
Frank Jansen, the chief executive of KBC Bank Ireland said: "I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to all departing KBC Bank Ireland Hub employees who, over the past 10 years, have provided exemplary service to our customers in communities around Ireland."
KBC said it will continue to support and service customers through its contact centre as it progresses through its wind-down plan over the next number of months.
