BREAKING: Special guests announced for Dermot Kennedy's Limerick gigs

Dermot will be performing in Limerick three nights in a row

THREE “rising stars” have been announced as special guests for Dermot Kennedy’s Limerick gigs.

Dermot will be playing in Thomond Park, Limerick on July 7, 8 and 9 for his Sonder Tour. After ‘phenomenal demand’ from the public, the Dublin singer added a third and final Limerick date.

Cian Ducrot, Kingfishr and Nell Mescal have been announced as the special guests who will join Dermot on stage for his Limerick dates.

Announcing the news on Instagram, Dermot commented: “Incredibly excited to announce @cianducrot @kingfishrofficial & @nellmescal as the special guests for our shows at Thomond Park this summer!!”

Limerick band Kingfishr also shared the news on social media: “Growing up, being musicians was so far from where we were that we didn’t even give ourselves time to think we could actually make it happen. To be able to say we'll be supporting @dermotkennedy with @cianducrot in Thomond Park in July is a dream come true, thank you to everyone who’s been part of this so far, our hearts are about to burst lads.”

Dermot’s visit to the Treaty City marks the beginning of The Sonder Tour, named after his latest album, featuring hits such as Something to Someone, Kiss Me, Dreamer and Innocence and Sadness.

His album, Sonder, reached the Number 1 spot in Ireland and the UK. A dynamic and powerful live performer, Dermot Kennedy has become one of the biggest and fastest selling live artists ever following his historic run of Irish shows in 2022 - with eight huge concerts across Ireland. He also headlined Electric Picnic to over 70,000 people in September.

His debut album “Without Fear” is also the biggest selling album of the millennium by an Irish artist.

Tickets are still available for the third Limerick date, and are priced at €53.65
