Average rent price in Limerick city rise again

THE AVERAGE price to rent in Limerick has risen more than 10% in the last year, a new report has revealed.

Property website, www.daft.ie has published its quarterly report.

And it reveals that, on average, the amount a tenant now pays for renting a home in Limerick City stands at €1,738 per month. It represents an 11.5% year-on-year rise.

And on the date economist Ronan Lyons published his report on behalf of Daft.ie, just seven places to rent were available in Limerick city on its website.

If you wanted to rent a one-bed apartment in the city, it would come to an average of €1,177 per month.

On average, a two-bed home would set you back €1,407 each month, while a three-bed would cost €1,699.

The picture is bleaker if you're looking to find a four-bed or five-bed home to rent, according to the survey. For, on average, a four-bed property in the city is now priced at €2,048 per month which is a year-on-year rise of 13.5%.

The steepest rise is reserved for the rent on a five-bed home, up almost 20% to €2,263 per month.

In rural county Limerick meanwhile, average rental prices range from €892 per month for a one-bed apartment.

A two-bed house is, on average, €1,070 to rent each month while a three-bed home costs €1,243 per month.

A four-bed home is €1,366 and a five-bed is €1,638, according to the survey.
