Scrambler bike rider suffers 'serious injuries' in Limerick collision

A SCRAMBLER bike rider suffered "serious injuries" in a road traffic collision on Saturday, Limerick Live has learned.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a two-vehicle road traffic collision which occurred on Sexton Street in Thomondgate, Limerick city at around 1.20pm on Saturday, August 19.

A garda spokesperson said the collision involved a car and a motorbike.

"The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 20s, was taken from the scene to University Hospital Limerick to be treated for serious injuries.

"No other injuries reported," said the garda spokesperson.

Gardai are continuing to investigate the incident. If anybody saw the collision or can help gardai with their enquiries they are asked to contact Mayorstone garda station on 061 456980.
