ONE Limerick junior infants class might struggle with maths; as differentiation will be impossible!
Scoil an Spioraid Naoimh in Roxborough are seeing four sets of twins all starting together this year.
The eight twins are amongst a class of 20 children- Charlie and Bobby Keane, Caoilinn and Tomás Kilroy, Ben and Adam McCarthy and Liam and Seán McCarthy will all be going through their primary school journey together and Scoil an Spioraid Naoimh is thrilled to have them.
The junior infants teachers have had a hectic week welcoming the children to the start of their school journey, one that was made all the more unique by the incoming sets of twins.
The arrival of the twins was an exciting time for not just the staff but also the students.
“The twins' arrival caused great amusement and excitement among the other Junior Infants. It has further added to the fun in the infant classrooms!” explained principal Ciara Uí Mhaidín.
This isn't the first time Scoil an Spioraid Naoimh have seen odds defying class groups, with the school previously having three sets of twins in the same class.
But they're proud to surpass that this year.
“Four sets has certainly broken our previous record. Our 39 Junior Infants have settled in extremely well and we are very proud of them all!”

The twins have all settled well into their classrooms and their teachers were excited to share that their dynamics have brought a “great delight” into the school community.
The odds of twins being born is roughly one in 250 pregnancies, making these children's arrival in the school a particularly significant event.
