NEW RATES for an official sightseeing pass of Limerick have been announced, with a family bundle included.
Limerick City & County Council (LCCC) have collaborated with Fáilte Ireland to announce new price rates for a sightseeing pass, which gives the public the opportunity to explore 14 key attractions throughout the city and county.
The Discover Limerick Pass gives people access to the top attractions in Limerick for a total price lower than paying for each attraction individually.
A new deal where two adults and two children can get a one day pass for a promotional rate of €99 has been introduced, with children aged five and below going free.
The ready-made itinerary covers attractions, upcoming events and new developments, including:
* An historical and interactive exhibition at King John’s Castle
* Lunchtime concerts at St. Mary’s Cathedral on November 14 and November 21.
* An interactive experiential exhibition at The Hunt Museum, Night's Candles are Burnt Out, opening from September 21, with the purpose of encouraging communities to look at how we can address the Climate Challenge.
* The world’s largest flying boat museum and the home of Irish coffee in Foynes, County Limerick, Foynes Flying Boat & Maritime Museum, has re-opened to visitors.
“The Discover Limerick Pass is an excellent new tourism product for Limerick City and County,” said Mr. Gordon Daly, Director of Service, Economic Development, Enterprise and Tourism at LCCC.
“According to studies, visitors say that sightseeing passes are a very convenient way of exploring an area, and this enhanced offering for Limerick’s official sightseeing pass, will increase value to the visitor,” concluded Mr Daly.
The Discover Limerick Pass is the first destination sightseeing pass of its kind on the Wild Atlantic Way.
