David Sadleir the newly appointed principal of the Abbey CBS in Tipperary Town
JOHN KIELY's successor, David Sadlier, has been appointed as the new principal of The Abbey CBS in Tipperary town.
The Limerick hurling manager stepped away from the role after 10 years in order to concentrate on teaching in the classroom.
David Sadlier joins the school with over 20 years of experience of working in the education sector having spent time working in Villiers School as a Chemistry and Maths teacher.
During this time, he also fulfilled the duties of assistant principal while also being involved in providing a rich extracurricular programme which included working in the rugby department.
In a statement made by the school Mr Sadlier said "It is a honour to join the staff of The Abbey CBS and be appointed as principal of a school with such a rich history of providing a wonderful educational experience for the boys of west Tipperary and East Limerick."
John Kiely resigned from the role on August 31, and is now the deputy principal of the school while still continuing to teach maths.
