Properties damaged as operations crews deal with overnight flooding in Limerick

A NUMBER of properties have been damaged as operations crews from Limerick City and County Council (LCCC) continue responding to flooding.

There has been reports of flooding across Limerick City and County and operations crews have been dealing with the matter since 3.30am.

The N24 just outside Pallasgreen is currently flooded, warning signs have been put in place.

A river has burst its banks in Old Pallas, one residential property received minor flood damage, LCCC crews were deployed. Sandbags were put in place to protect the property.

There has been surface water-related flooding to lands and a garage of a property outside of Cappamore.

The walkway into the University of Limerick, at the right of Feeney Way is flooded and closed off to pedestrians.

There is surface water flooding on the N20 North of the Croom bypass, caution is advised, and LCCC operations crews were mobilized to the area.

At O’Rourke’s Cross there is surface water flooding on the northbound lane, crews have attended and warning signage has been erected, also on the R518, the Bruff Line, there is surface water-related flooding.

There is surface water flooding on sections of the R511 at Ballysheedy and Ballyclough, warning signage has been erected in affected areas.

In Bruree village, there is surface water flooding on the roads.

There is surface water flooding on the local road from Ballyneety to Knockea and in Effin, a garage on private property received minor flood damage.

The road and some properties are flooded at Banogue GAA at Ross Temple.

There is flooding on the R515 at Bresheen, Kilmallock, two properties there are at risk of flooding.

The Manister to Fedamore road is flooded.
