In pictures: Artwork goes on display at Limerick library to raise funds for Novas

ALMOST 40 pieces of art have been put on display in the Dooradoyle library, with proceeds from their sales going to a very good cause.

Paintings of boats, roses, a lighthouse, and even former Manchester United soccer goalie David de Gea are among the features of the annual Hatters Class Art Castle and Studio exhibition.

For decades, local painter Frank Bouchier has run classes for aspiring artists young and old.

They are asked to submit their best works for an annual exhibition which this year will see 15% of proceeds from the sale of pieces going to homelessness charity Novas.

Some artists have agreed to donate 100% of the proceeds to the charity, which is based in O'Connell Street in the city centre.

The artwork will be on display until the start of November, and is available to view during the times the Dooradoyle library, beside the Crescent Shopping Centre, is open to the public.
