The sulky that was involved in the road traffic collision

LIMERICK gardaí attended the scene of a road traffic collision between a horse-drawn sulky and a car on the Old Cork Road in the city.

The incident occurred at 4:30pm on Friday, November 3. The windscreen of the car involved was badly damaged after colliding with the sulky. 

A number of people gathered to offer their assistance after the incident on the busy Limerick road which links the city with Bruff. 

Paramedics attended the scene and it is understood that a young man was taken to hospital. 

According to the Garda Press Office "no serious injuries to persons involved were reported during the course of the incident". 

Enquiries are ongoing.
