SANTA and Mrs Claus are making an early visit to County Limerick this weekend because the boys and girls in Bilboa National School have been extra good!

The school's annual Christmas Fair takes place from 2pm this Sunday, November 19 in the community centre in Cappamore.

Bilboa NS parents council chairperson, Roisin Bourke, said: “All the children, parents, and staff have come together to make sure this fair is one of the biggest yet.

"We are delighted to be part of this and at the end of the day, the school and the children benefit from any funds made on the day. This year we are still fundraising for the development of the astroturf pitch at the school”.

There will be something for everyone on Sunday. For those who wish to participate in some competitive games, there’s “Hang Tough” for all ages, guess the soccer player and The Cube.

There will be household items along with pre-loved formal wear, crafts, Christmas decorations, cakes and plenty of sweet treats, bargain children’s toys, books, fuel and, of course, the famous spin the wheel with 13 rounds where people can win wfantastic prizes and Christmas hampers. Santa will arrive along with Mrs Claus and Santa’s Grotto will be open for all.

This year, organisers have also set up a Go Fund Me page where anybody who can't make it on the day can contribute to the cause here

Bilboa National School pupils have been busy preparing posters as part of a competition for the Christmas fair. The prize winners are Katie Lonergan, Ruby Price, Maggie Rose Halligan Curtin, Sarah, Gleeson, Eva Egan and Aoibheann Gleeson.
