Limerick students raise thousands for local charity at Christmas fair

STUDENTS at TUS hosted their annual Marketlink Christmas Fair at the Moylish campus earlier this week.

Marketlink is an active learning business project that sees first Year TUS students from Marketing and Management, Enterprise, Digital Marketing, and International Business Studies courses plan, organise and run a Christmas Fair offering everything from handcrafted gifts to delicious treats and prizes.

With the help of their lecturing team of Gillian Clogan, Roseanne Dunne, Emma Dillane and Dr Ronan O’Brien, the students raised over €4,500 for The Limerick Children's Grief Centre.

“Our students choose which charity to dedicate the proceeds of this event to every year and we are very happy to be able to support The Limerick Children's Grief Centre this year,” said Dr James Griffin, head of department for Marketing, Enterprise, and Digital Communications at TUS.

“Marketlink is a unique event that allows TUS students to learn Business skills by actively working for good causes, and having a bit of fun along the way is a big part of it too,” he added.
