Liam Gallagher will perform this summer in Thomond Park
A BELOVED Irish folk band will open for the "mighty" Liam Gallagher in Limerick this summer.
The Mary Wallopers will be opening the concert at Thomond Park, which will take place on Sunday, July 14.
Announcing the news, the band said: "We’re excited to announce we’ll be supporting the mighty @liamgallagher this July in Limerick!"
The news was welcomed by fans of both The Mary Wallopers and Liam, with one music lover saying "This just got even better!"
Liam Gallagher will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of Oasis’ influential debut album by embarking upon the ‘Definitely Maybe 30 Years’ tour.
Tickets are still available via Ticketmaster, with a starting price of €69.90.
