Paddy Casey is the headliner of this year's festival
AN ECLECTIC festival will return to West Limerick to sprinkle some musical magic - with a special performance from a renowned singer.
For the second year, Newcastle West Music Trail Festival will see the town of Newcastle West turn into a vibrant festival site on Saturday, April 27.
This year, renowned multi-platinum singer Paddy Casey will headline the festival with an outdoor rooftop performance.
Created by Emmet Scanlan, The Music Trail sees the town of Newcastle West turn into a festival site for a day, where 100 ticket holders meander from one venue to the next.
From Barbershop Quartets to local songwriters Niamh Nolan and Emmet Scanlan, to gypsy jazz trios and established artists like Niall McCabe, the festival has something in store for everyone.
The gigs take place in “more quirky” venues, such as in local hairdressers and shops, which celebrates the diversity of businesses in the town.
Ticket holders will be played through the town from one venue to the next by Swedish violin virtuoso Werner Gladh, in true pied-piper fashion.

The Music Trail Festivities continue on at Cleary’s Bar, now renowned for its Window Sessions performances, where Paddy Casey will perform - with an outdoor bar and a pizza truck on site.
This year, the winner of the Music Trail Festival poster competition was local artist James Robertson, who helped to further steep the event in creativity.
Tickets for the event are priced at €40 and are available on Eventbrite. For further information, you can find NCW Music Trail Festival via Instagram.
