Man in his 30s injured during violent burglary in Tipperary village

Gardaí are investigating after a man was injured in an aggravated burglary close to the Limerick / Tipperary border.

Gardaí confirmed to Limerick Live that they received report of an incident of aggravated burglary at a premises in Emly, Co Tipperary at approximately 1.40am on Friday morning, June 28.

"One man aged in his 30s was conveyed to Tipperary University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries sustained as a result of this incident," said a garda spokesperson.

They said investigations are ongoing at this time.

Officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to come forward.

"Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact Tipperary garda station at 062 80670, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111 or any local garda station," said the garda spokesperson.
