Major delays in Limerick city centre after collision involving double decker bus

Motorists are advised to expect delays through Limerick city centre following a collision involving a bus on O'Connell Street.

Gardaí and emergency services are attending the scene of the collision at the intersection of O'Connell Street and Sarsfield Street.

The incident took place at approximately 6:05pm this Friday evening, August 9.

A number of bicycles and the bike racks they were locked to have been damaged in the incident, but no injuries have been reported, gardaí said in a statement.

Delays are likely to continue in the city centre area until the incident is cleared.
