Gardai issue update as search for Limerick man missing for almost a month is stood down

Jonathon Morey from Limerick city has been located 'safe and well'

The search for a Limerick man who was reported missing from his home in the city almost a month ago has been stood down, after he was located 'safe and well'.

Gardai at Henry Street station issued an appeal for assistance last month, after Jonathon Morey, 33, was reported missing on September 15, last.

In an update, issued this Monday afternoon, they confirmed there has been a positive outcome and that the appeal is being stood down.

"Jonathon Morey, 33 years, who had been missing from Limerick City since September 15 2024, has been located safe and well. 

We would like to thank the public and media for their assistance," said a spokesperson.

No further information has been disclosed publicly as to the circumstances which led to Mr Morey being located.
