Six Limerick entrepreneurs in running for prestigious award

SEVEN Limerick entrepreneurs have been nominated for prestigious national awards.

They are all in the running to secure category prizes at the annual PwC Image Businesswoman of the Year Awards.

Grainne Fogarty, director of RehabCare, the Health and Social Care division of the Rehab Group, has been shortlisted for the Business Woman of the Year Award. A native of Clare now living in Limerick, she has been working for RehabCare, for over 20 years, championing the rights of individuals with disabilities, mental health issues, and other related needs.

Leonie Lynch, the founder of city centre superfood producer Juspy and Alice Carroll, the co-founder of Foxes Bow Whiskey have been nominated in the category of start-up of the year.

Adare businesswoman and designer Aoife McNamara has received a nomination in the category of environmental, social, and governance.

Sarah O’Sullivan of SOS Cookies, which is based at the Milk Market in Limerick city centre, is in the running for young businesswoman of the year.

Mamobo Ogoro of Gorm Media has been nominated in the diversity and equality section.

And Mairead Cheevers, the chief operating officer at the Rose Clinic which is located at the Beacon Hospital in Barrington Street has been nominated as the entrepreneur of the year.

The awards take place on Friday, April 25, at The Clayton Hotel in Dublin’s Burlington Road.

They celebrate Ireland’s most inspiring female business leaders.

It’s designed to recognise their innovation, leadership, and impact across various industries.

The chief executive of Image Media Clodagh Edwards said: “Every year the Image PwC Businesswoman of the Year Awards are a showcase of the incredible depth and diversity of female leadership across Ireland’s business ecosystem.”

“The exceptional calibre of the 2025 shortlist demonstrates the economic impact of these women in business, across so many sectors, and we are delighted to spotlight these inspiring business stories,” she added.
