A POPULAR school bookshop has closed at its city centre premises.
Tony Clarke’s unit on Thomas Street has been put up for rent, with an announcement on the door stating the school books and stationary store is no longer trading in the premises.

The shop was established in the 1970s by husband-and-wife team Tony and Eileen Clarke.
Their daughter Eva joined the business in 2002.
Following Eileen’s sad passing in 2015, and Tony’s retirement, Eva Clarke now runs the company.
An advert on www.daft.ie shows the colourful premises in Thomas Street is available for rent immediately.
It’s advertised as having an overall floor area of 250 square metres, “on the sunny side of” Thomas Street.
The rent is negotiable.
It’s not yet understood if the Tony Clarke brand will continue to operate as an online brand.
Ms Clarke declined to comment this Tuesday.
