IF YOU MISSED out on buying your dream mansion a couple of years ago, then it is your lucky day as you have a second bite of the cherry - and for half a million euros less.
One of the finest homes in the county, if not the country, Fedamore House is on the market with a guide price of €2,950,000.
The National Inventory of Architectural Heritage describes the luxurious property, which dates back to 1880, as “a significant building within County Limerick's architectural heritage”.
Gerry McManus bought the former Glebe House, which dates back to the 19th century, around 2004 before turning it into a magnificent 25,000sq ft home.

Fedamore House was offered for sale for €3.5m in early 2018. It is understood it was later withdrawn from the market.
It appeared on the Property Price Register in June of 2021 for a figure of €2.6m. However, the register only shows the cost of a house on one acre whereas this historic property stands on 16 acres so 15 acres haven’t been included in that price.
The main house has been sensitively extended with two wings from the original house which are designed around an enclosed garden courtyard.
The building’s history is married with luxury, contemporary style. A white statuary and sienna chimney piece with solid Jasper pilasters circa 1765 and a George III white statuary marble chimney piece in the manner of Robert Adam circa 1785 even predate the original building.
There is an indoor heated swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna, lift, fully fitted home cinema, library, gym, games room, bar, wine cellar, and six heated internal garages for classic sports cars.
Outside there is a walled garden, an entertainment building by the barbecue area and floodlit astro turf pitch. The peaceful parkland setting on 16 acres with mature trees and woodland lends itself to serene nature walks through the property. There are also two newly-built gate lodges.
Mr McManus, who is one of those involved in setting up the Limerick underage academy which has been instrumental in senior and underage hurlers’ success, left no stone unturned.
There are eight bedrooms, each finished to hotel standard, all with en suites and dressing areas.
It has been brought to the market by Sherry FitzGerald Country Homes, Farms & Estates. The selling agent described it as a “masterpiece”.
“The original house and the extension are finished to the highest of standards combining original period features and period style throughout. It is a wonderful combination of the charming original house which glides effortlessly into its new quarters,” they say in promotional material.
It is now listed for sale again. Overseas interest is expected in the high-end property, which is in relatively close proximity to Shannon Airport and Adare Manor.
