BREAKING: Limerick motorway collision causes long  rush hour traffic tailbacks

THERE are long traffic delays this Friday rush hour on the M20 Limerick to Cork motorway due to a collision.

The single vehicle incident occurred between J3 Raheen and J4 Patrickswell, heading in the southbound direction. Transport Infrastructure Ireland reports that lane 2 is affected.

The normal long tailbacks through Adare have been exacerbated by the collision. The extent of the injuries, if any, suffered by the occupants of the car is not known at this time.

Emergency Services have responded to the single vehicle collision.

TII say: “Delays to your journey will occur. Consider a different journey route or start time.

"When approaching the collision location, drive with caution, reduce your speed and obey instructions from emergency services.”
