AN UNMISSABLE lineup of award-winning and chart-topping performers will transform King John’s Castle this summer.
The castle on King’s Island will host an extraordinary 2025 concert series, turning its historic grounds into a vibrant stage for six of the year’s most anticipated live performances.
David Gray returns to Limerick as part of his acclaimed Past and Present tour on Thursday, May 1.
Celebrated for his breakthrough with White Ladder and the evocative storytelling on his 2021 album Skellig, Gray has cemented his place among classic poetic singer-songwriters.
From intimate performances at Dolan’s Warehouse to a monumental show at Thomond Park as a special guest to Bob Dylan, Mick Dolan is "delighted to welcome David Gray back to Limerick." highlighting his storied history with the city.

QWEEN ft. The Dublin Gospel Choir will take over the castle on Saturday, May 3 during Riverfest Weekend.
The Queen tribute act joins forces with The Dublin Gospel Choir bringing an electrifying fusion of soul and spirit.
This dynamic collaboration promises a powerful blend of captivating vocals and inspirational live performance that will resonate with audiences from the very first note.
And returning during the celebrated Riverfest weekend, The Coronas – known as Ireland’s hardest-working band – will deliver a high-energy performance on Sunday, May 4.
With three consecutive number one chart-topping albums, performances for two U.S. Presidents, and a legacy of sold-out holiday shows, their homecoming is set to be one of the highlights of 2025.
The castle will also host Amble, The Darkness, and Train over the course of the summer.

Live At The Castle in King John’s Castle, at the heart of medieval Limerick City, has become a must-see music event that has welcomed acts such as Imelda May and The Coronas with the 13th-century castle providing the perfect venue for a unique live music experience.
Sitting on King’s Island on the River Shannon the site dates back to 922 when the Vikings lived on the Island, with the castle itself built on the orders of King John in 1200, it is one of the best preserved Norman castles in Europe, with the walls, towers and fortifications still remaining today.
