THREE men who were arrested in relation to the seizure of over €500k of drugs and 200 rounds of ammunition in Limerick city have been charged.
Two men in their 40s and one in his 30s who were arrested in relation to the seizure of €350,000 of cannabis and €150,000 of cocaine on Tuesday, May 6, at a premises in South Limerick, will appear in court this Friday morning.
 
All three men are due to appear before Limerick District Court this Friday, May 9, at 10:30am.

Gardai seized cannabis, cocaine, cash and arrested three individuals as part of ongoing investigations targeting the sale and supply of drugs in Limerick.

A garda spokesperson said gardaí from the Limerick Divisional Drug Unit, in conjunction with other Limerick Regional Units, stopped a vehicle in the Galvone area of Limerick city on Tuesday.

"During the search, gardaí discovered cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €30,000.

"A follow-up search was conducted at a nearby premises. During this search, gardaí recovered an estimated €350,000 worth of cannabis, €150,000 worth of cocaine, approximately €30,000 in cash, close to 200 rounds of firearms ammunition and other drug-related paraphernalia," said a garda spokesperson.

Gardaí have confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
