CUSTOMERS have bemoaned the sudden closure of a popular Limerick known for its “friendly atmosphere, fantastic service and the food always stood out”.
The French Connection in Annacotty Business Park has closed permanently, a post on social media read.
Joanne and David, proprietors, said they were “devastated” to share the news.

“We want to thank all our customers and friends from inside and outside of the business park. Especially our local customers who continued to come during the four months of roadworks.
“We have had the best almost five years working there. Starting out with our food truck during Covid 2020 to opening the cafe in 2022. We have made so many friends along the way and we will miss you all,” read the post.
They thanked their wonderful staff - Bried, Daniel and Gustavo - and said they hope to see all their customers again in the future.
The closure was met with disappointment by those who had frequented The French Connection (pictured above) over the years.
“I’m so sorry to hear this Joanne and David. Ye created something special. The friendly atmosphere and fantastic service and food always stood out,” wrote one customer.
Another said: “It was always a pleasure to visit. Wishing you both and the whole team the very best in whatever comes next.
While one person said they had only recently visited The French Connection and was really looking forward to going back again.
