A THEFT from a vehicle in Limerick city in broad daylight is being investigated by gardaí.
“On Friday, May 2, between 12:30pm and 2:30pm, a parked and possibly unlocked, vehicle on James Street was accessed by a thief,” said Sergeant Michelle O’Halloran, crime prevention officer, Henry St garda station.
“Several valuable items were stolen, including a wallet, a significant amount of cash, tools, and keys. There were no signs of forced entry.”
This incident is under investigation at Roxboro Road garda station. Anyone with information or who observed suspicious activity in the area is asked to contact 061 214340.

“Criminals travel across Limerick city and county checking for unlocked cars,” continued Sgt O’Halloran.
“Please never leave valuables on display, always lock your doors and fully close windows, park in well-lit areas or where CCTV is present and check your doors are locked.
“Taking these simple steps can prevent your car from being targeted.”
