DERMOT Sheedy who is a member of the popular Limerick band, Hermitage Green and his partner harpist and concertina player, Aisling Lyons have announced their engagement while holidaying in Italy. 

The couple, both Clare natives, shared their joyful news with a radiant Instagram post showing Aisling’s sparkling engagement ring. They're both seen beaming in the shot with the scenic backdrop of Ischia, Italy.

Demot is from Darragh outside Ennis and the newly engaged couple live together in Ennistymon.

He was spotted in Mother Macs pub in the city with Kneecap’s Móglaí Bap (Naoise Ó Cairealláin) earlier this year. A close friend of the Limerick band, the Irish-language rapper from Belfast was at Hermitage Green’s New Year gig in Dolans.

Dermot along with Darragh Griffin, Darragh Graham and Barry and Dan Murphy make up the Limerick band which formed in 2010. The acoustic folk rock band have toured across Ireland including the Milk Market and King John's Castle, the UK, and Australia. They signed with Sony Music Ireland in 2015 and released their debut studio album, Save Your Soul, in March 2016.
