A man has been charged with multiple offences following an aggravated burglary last Sunday in Limerick city

THE gardai have charged a man in his 20s with multiple offences following an aggravated burglary last Sunday in Limerick city.

He is due to appear in front of the Limerick District Court this afternoon, Friday.

The burglary occurred at a residential property in the O’Connell Avenue area, last Sunday, at approximately 8am. 

The young man entered the premises and confronted the homeowner with a knife, before fleeing with a number of items. The homeowner was uninjured.
