Patrick Joseph (Pat) Crotty Jnr died tragically following a single-vehicle road traffic collision between Milford and Dromcollogher
HEARTFELT tributes are being paid to the late Patrick Joseph (Pat) Crotty Jnr, who has been described as "always chatty", "a true friend" and a "great character." Pat (53) died last Sunday following a single-vehicle road traffic collision between Milford and Dromcollogher.
Condolences have been pouring in for the Charleville native who died tragically last weekend with one mourner describing Pat as "a great character to be around and a true friend."
Another mourned noted that they had some great memories with Pat at work, saying that he was "always up for a laugh and banter. He is going to be missed so much at our place of work." Pat worked for Charleville Foods for many years.
Kilmallock councillor Greg Conway offered his condolences to the Crotty family, saying it was a "tragic accident" and "a very difficult time" for them. "I would also like to thank the emergency services and the paramedics, the firefighters, and the gardai who handled the scene."
In addition, Bruree GAA said: "All in Bruree GAA and Lotto Committee wish to pass on our sincere condolences to Caroline, Kathleen, Pat and family and friends on the tragic loss of Pat. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time and may you find comfort and strength to cope with your loss."
Pat is reposing in Hawe - O'Keeffe's Funeral Home (P56 YY15), Bakers Road, Charleville tomorrow evening, June 25 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, followed by prayers.
Reception into Holy Cross Church, Charleville will take place on Thursday morning, June 26 for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, after which Pat will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery, Charleville. House private, please.
The Crotty family would like to thank all of the first responders, Garda Síochána, Charleville Fire Service and the paramedics who attended for their professionalism and kindness.
Pat is deeply regretted by his loving family, sisters-in-law Anna and Jane, brother-in-law D. J., nephews Darryl and Conor, nieces Emma, Kayla, Ebany, Chloe and Sophia, uncles, aunts, relatives and friends.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.
"Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 1pm and 6pm on Saturday, June 21, 2025 are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí," said the garda spokesperson.
