Guest speaker Peter Clarke, IFA and Bord Gáis Energy Solar, will outline how rooftop solar can reduce energy bills, lower emissions, and contribute to farm sustainability. He will explain how solar can be integrated into farm operations, including dairy, tillage, and mixed enterprises.
Christina Ngo from Bord Gáis Energy will provide details on the cutting-edge technology used to deliver tailored rooftop solar projects and present case studies of successful installations nationwide.
The evening will also provide details on the TAMS solar grant, which supports farmers' investments in solar. Under TAMS, eligible farmers can receive up to 60% grant aid for solar PV installation costs, helping to significantly reduce upfront expenses.
“This is a valuable opportunity for farmers to get clear, practical advice on going solar. With the financial support available under TAMS and high energy costs, there’s never been a better time to consider investing in rooftop solar,” said Clare IFA chairman, Stephen Walsh.
All are welcome.
