The showpiece event of the week-long Pride festival kicks off from 2pm outside City Hall at Merchant’s Quay on Saturday afternoon.
Expect an explosion of colour with participants in the event asked to gather from 12.20pm.
It will take in O’Connell Street, Glentworth Street to Henry Street, past Arthur’s Quay Park, before ending at the Hunt Museum.
It will be led by this year’s grand marshal, Tonie Walsh, an LGBTQI+ rights activist, journalist, DJ, founding editor of Gay Community News (Dublin) and founder of the Irish Queer Archive.
While that is the main event of the day, there are also a number of other events taking place in the city centre.
Early on the Saturday morning, a pre-parade breakfast will take place from 10.30am at Lava Javas youth cafe in Lower Glentworth Street, the event aimed at people aged between 14 and 19.
A Milsean Pride Queer Market takes place all day at The Wickham Way market.
And for those who fancy a meet-up ahead of the big parade, Goshh in Davis Street will play host to a coffee morning.
Post-parade, PrideFest 2025 will once again take place in the Hunt Museum.
A showcase of local and national LGBTQI+ culture in a marquee in the museum gardens, it will be open from 3pm to 6pm.
A free family friendly event, it will feature face painting, live music, performances, drag, and plenty of entertainment including the annual Tea Dance with Myles Breen.
Later that night, the reigning champion of Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK Kyran Thrax will be in town.
He will appear at Dolan’s Warehouse from 9pm.
This event will be followed by DJ Ruth from the George Dublin in the warehouse.
Dolan’s will play host to three floors of music including ‘Saved by the 90s’ upstairs with a live drummer and Alter Ego with DJ Olivia Chau in the Kasbah Club. Each venue has a different vibe to it.
To bring Limerick Pride week to a close, House Limerick on the riverfront will play host to a brunch event between 2pm and 4pm on Sunday.
