PRESENTER and podcast host Ryan Tubridy took to the streets of Limerick this morning, as he is in the city for the day.

Ryan will be broadcasting his mid-morning Virgin Media show today from the Limerick Live 95 studio, and then will travel to Cork on Friday.

Flying into Shannon airport from Heathrow, he took to his Instagram stories to ask Limerick locals their suggestions for his trip.

Responses flooded in with followers telling Ryan the best places for food, drink, music, sightseeing, and more — there is no doubt Ran will have a jam-packed day in Limerick.

Bumping into locals, and seeing the sights, he took the three bridges route for his morning run.

A listener in the UK asked Ryan if he would pop in to say hello to a friend in Limerick while visiting, so he did, and took a selfie with Jake outside the oldest tattoo parlour in the city, Living Art Tattoo Studio.

Posting a series of photos on Instagram of his run in the “pouring rain”, he captured iconic sights and local favourites.

Snapping shots of statues and monuments such as the Anthony ‘Axel’ Foley monument by the River Shannon, Sir Terry Wogan statue in Harveys Quay, The Dockers monument on Howleys Quay, and The Richard Harris statue on Bedford row.

Ryan captured the Treaty City Brewery, The Hunt Museum, the Sylvester O'Halloran Footbridge, and of course, the book worm managed to stumble across The Celtic Bookshop, on Rutland Street.

Blown away by the amount of suggestions for the popular bakery and café, Bean a Tí Bakery on Little Catherine Street, Ryan had to give it a try, and was so impressed by the selection of the Limerick bakery, he had to take a box of the sweet treats with him.

Posting a video on his Instagram story, he showed off the array of buns and cakes on display, with one treat in particular catching his eye - the coffee slices! "Boom! Delicious" he exclaimed. A successful trip to Limerick indeed Ryan!
