Limerick-based designer, Mary O'Sullivan will showcase at Ireland Fashion Week
LIMERICK-based fashion designer Mary O'Sullivan will showcase her designs at the first-ever Ireland Fashion Week in the Irish Roots show.
Mary will bring her distinctive voice to an ensemble of nine independent and emerging Irish designers at the country's debut fashion week this October.
Mary said: “Ireland Fashion Week is a dream come true. It's a chance to share my journey as a designer who draws deeply from Irish heritage while exploring bold, contemporary creativity. Being part of the Irish Roots show means so much personally, as it celebrates the stories and culture that inspire my work every day.”
She continued: “I'm especially proud to represent Limerick on this stage and to show my daughter that following your passion is possible. I'm excited to connect with others who value meaningful design and to continue growing both my brand and my creative community.”

She will debut a powerful collection exploring themes of identity, belonging, and cultural reclamation through a modern Irish lens, merging traditional textile techniques with contemporary silhouettes and hand-illustrated prints. The showcase will highlight her signature Toile de Jouy-style artwork, reimagined to tell personal stories inspired by Irish landmarks, flora, and folklore, emphasising accessible luxury.
Mary is a designer with a background in fashion textiles from the Limerick School of Art & Design. Her work draws from Ireland's social history, folklore, and landscapes, creating pieces that challenge conventional ideas of Irishness. Her bespoke pieces have been commissioned for weddings, exhibitions, and editorial features. Her embroidery workshops regularly sell out, attracting participants who value her accessible teaching style.
