DESIGN & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI) is calling on Limerick designers to take part in Irish Design Week 2025 (17–21 November).
This year’s theme, “The Ties that Tie, and the Links that Link,” explores how design connects people, ideas, and communities.
Now in its fourth year, DCCI Irish Design Week is a national celebration of design as experience, connection and innovation, spanning disciplines from fashion and architecture to digital design and sustainable practice.

Last year, under the theme “Imagination for Opportunity,” Limerick School of Art and Design hosted two standout events.
The Irish Grown Wool Council’s Wonders of Wool talks and interactive BIG KNIT workshop as well as the Forge Design Factory’s, Dining & Design.
This experience paired a three-course meal with design talks against an exhibition backdrop of architecture, interiors, ceramics, textiles and furniture.
Both events highlighted Limerick’s role as a hub for creativity, connection and innovation.
DCCI has announced that funding is available for selected events during Irish Design Week 2025. This is a unique opportunity for Limerick-based designers and organisations to secure support for workshops, talks, exhibitions and other creative events that align with this year’s theme.
