EMERGENCY services attended the scene of a road traffic incident in a Limerick suburb this Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred in Ballysimon, Limerick this Wednesday, September 3 just after 7am.

It is understood that an occupant of one vehicle involved was brought by ambulance to hospital.

This comes less than 24 hours after a road traffic collision occurred in the area, with emergency services being called out to Ballysimon at around 3.30pm on Tuesday afternoon.

A spokesperson for Limerick Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that three units were called to the scene this morning.

The service received the call at 7.10am and the units returned to the station at 8:04am.
