Oscar-winning producer Lord David Puttnam
APPLICATIONS are now open for the Future Leaders of Screen: Screen Careers for TY Students 2026 initiative.
The free programme of six online seminars is led by Oscar-winning producer Lord David Puttnam and his team at Atticus Education.
Over the course of the programme, students will learn directly from Lord David Puttnam about creativity, storytelling, filmmaking, and social responsibility in the 21st century.
In addition, each school group will receive tailored mentoring sessions with industry professionals, giving students practical insights into the many career pathways in the sector.
Students, parents and teachers will also attend an in-person networking event in May with Lord Puttnam and other film-industry leaders.

The programme is supported by Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland and delivered by Atticus Education in partnership with University College Cork.
It is designed for students passionate about film, TV, cinema, gaming, and animation, or with a keen interest in global affairs, who are keen to know more about the opportunities that exist across the screen sector.
12 schools will be selected for the programme, based on the students’ "proven interest and enthusiasm".

The deadline for applications is Friday, November 7.
