Promoters of wrestling show in Limerick were on the ropes after flooding but they've bounced back

AN OTT Wrestling show due to take place in Limerick this Sunday has had to be moved due to flooding, reads a post on their Facebook page.

It was due to take place in the Limerick Strand Hotel with Aonghus óg Mcanally, of OTT Wrestling, telling fans they have found a new venue at short notice.

In a video released on Saturday, Mr óg Mcanally said he had an emergency update for this Sunday’s planned Invasion show in Limerick. He said he got a call from The Strand Hotel to say that they had “suffered a flood and the venue would not be safe or cleared for Sunday’s event”.

“Obviously, to try and find an alternative venue after the close of business on a Saturday evening for a Sunday show when you're sold out with 400 tickets sold is a very difficult task.

“However, we have been up to that task and we have sourced an alternative venue for Sunday in Treacy’s West County Hotel in Ennis. It will be going ahead at the slightly delayed start time of 4.30pm,” said Mr óg Mcanally.

The promoter said ticket refunds will be issued to those who want one but his message is "the fans are what make an OTT show".

“We hope you can make it there on Sunday to be with us for this incredible planned show that we have for you. Jump on the Facebook fan page to see if you can share a car or a taxi to the venue from Limerick. Please do your best to be there with us.

“Those of you looking for a refund - of course they'll be issued and those conversations have already started but I know that I'll be there on Sunday and I hope you will be there too as we have an incredible Invasion show planned,” said Mr óg Mcanally.
