The scene of the collision at the Circle K in Thomondgate
EMERGENCY services have rushed to the scene of an incident in Limerick city after a car crashed into a shop.
It occurred at the Circle K filling station on Sexton Street North, Thomondgate this Monday shortly before noon. The scene has been cordoned of.

It is not known if any person has suffered injuries. However, there are reports that paramedics with the National Ambulance Service have responded, alongside gardai and Limerick Fire and Rescue Service.
The front of the store, adjacent to the door, has suffered significant damage. It is not known how the collision occurred.
Gardai have been contacted for comment.
This is the third such incident in Limerick in the space of a year after a vehicle crashed through the glass entrance of a restaurant in Annacotty in July and a car was driven into a shop on the Father Russell Road in January.
