Repairs underway to restore water in disrupted areas around Limerick

Bottled water is available at Mansells Cross Reservoir as repair works continue

UISCE Éireann crews are currently working to restore water supply to several areas in Limerick following operational issues at the Cappamore Water Treatment Plant.

Customers in Cappamore, Foileen, Kilruagh, Turagh, Dromclogher, Gortavalla, Brackyle, Bilboa, Shanacloon, Pallasgreen, and surrounding areas may  experience a loss of pressure and disruptions to their water supply.

Repair works are ongoing, and full restoration of services is expected by 12pm (midday) on Wednesday, October 1.

Alternative water supplies are available in the form of bottled water, which can be accessed at Mansells Cross Reservoir.

Uisce Éireann’s Water Operations Manager, Eoin O’Connell has said, “We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage, and we thank customers for their support and patience while repair works continue.” 

Updates on the outages are available on the Water Supply Updates section on water.ie (LIM00099661).  

The Uisce Éireann customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and customers can also contact them on X @IWCare with any queries.

Uisce Éireann has launched a free text service, providing real-time updates for local issues. Customers can sign up with their Eircode and mobile number at the text alerts page on their website.
