AN iconic giant rugby ball has returned to a popular sporting pub in Limerick city centre after almost three months away.
Jerry Flannery's Pub in Catherine Street have confirmed the return of the sporting landmark in a Facebook post titled: "Guess whose back (sic)".
"Rugby ball Flannerys once again #iconic," the venue added.

It was in late July that Limerick Live revealed that the rugby ball had fallen off the building.
Thankfully, nobody was underneath on the quiet night and no persons were injured as it crashed to the ground.
The well-known sporting installation helped identify Jerry Flannery's from all the other Flannery's bars in the city.
When revellers discuss which Flannery's they were meeting at somebody would say: “The one with the giant rugby ball”, or “Ball in the wall Flannery’s”.
The pub is owned by Jerry Flannery, former Munster and Ireland international hooker.
After his stellar rugby playing career ended, he went into coaching. Jerry has enjoyed success in various roles with Munster and Harlequins. Currently, he is the defence coach for South Africa.
Limerick Live has sought comment from Jerry Flannery’s bar.
