A NUMBER of flights have been diverted to Shannon Airport with more expected due to Storm Amy.
A spokesperson for Shannon Airport said they are presently operating a full schedule as normal with no reported delays.
"However, we are closely monitoring weather conditions and recommend that passengers stay informed by checking with their airlines for any possible updates throughout the day," said the spokesperson.

They confirmed that four flights have already been diverted to Shannon Airport due to the adverse weather conditions.
These include Ryanair flight FR423 from London Luton to Cork which landed safely at 1.38pm; Ryanair flight FR905 from London Stansted to Cork which arrived safely at 2:09pm; Ryanair flight FR6552 from Liverpool to Knock which arrived safely at 2.24pm and Ryanair flight FR1742 travelling from East Midlands to Knock which landed safely at 2.41pm.
"Additional diversions to Shannon are anticipated over the coming hours.
"When possible, we are always happy to assist other airports and airlines when weather related disruptions or operational challenges arise," said the spokesperson.
